Nefesh benefit raises $800 for Kosovar refugees.
Nefesh joined forces with The Companions, a Christian musical group, in a special
benefit concert at St. Thomas Church in Oxford to raise nearly $800 for The Albanian
Kosovo Refugee Resettlement Fund. The Kosovo Albanian Refugee Resettlement Project is a community-based effort created
jointly by The United Way, The Jewish Federation of Greater Waterbury and Northwestern
Connecticut and the Archdiocese of Hartford, Ct. It's aim is to raise awareness and
financial support to assist newly arrived Kosovo Albanian refugees who have fled the
Kosovo conflict to resettle in our area. The concert, held on August 28th, drew an
audience of almost 200 people. Nefesh back at Nomad for second year!
Nefesh makes a return visit to the12th Annual NOMAD (Northeast Music &
Dance) International Festival at Newtown High School, Newtown, Ct., on Sunday November
7th. Our performance will begin at 1p.m. NOMAD offer 3 days of international dance, music,
